Gee Mail: A summer of engagement (VIDEO)

With the fall season officially here, West Virginia University President E. Gordon Gee reflects on the summer of 2016. It was quite an engaging one for WVU – a summer of “catch me if you can” proportions.

It saw the University community travel abroad to leave a gold-and-blue imprint around the globe and band together to aid residents and business owners in flood-ravaged parts of the state.

There was also a surprise announcement for our President, which he will share at the end of this Gee Mail.

“There is a great misconception that our campus slows down during the summer months,” Gee said. “But as I am about to show you, that is far from the truth.

“We are a University on the move. And although many of our students are not here between May and August, we remain dedicated to advancing our mission in Morgantown, around the state and even all over the globe.”
