The West Virginia University football team is headed to the Champs Sports Bowl to take on N.C. State on Dec 28, and alumni, fans and friends are invited to join the WVU Alumni Association and Mountaineer Athletic Club as part of a special travel opportunity.

WVU Sports Travel (http://www.wvusportstravel.com) will offer a convenient option for those hoping to travel to the bowl game in Orlando.

The land-only package includes hotel accommodations at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, pre-registration of hotel rooms, game ticket, round trip game transfers, the official Champs Sports Bowl Patch, special activities and more. Travelers who already have game tickets may opt out of this option. Alumni and friends may also add a tour of The Kennedy Space Center to their travel package (additional cost associated with this feature).

The Rosen Shingle Creek Resort will serve as the official headquarters of the Alumni Association. WVU Sports Travel and alumni officials will serve as travel hosts for the length of the trip and will staff a hospitality desk at the resort.

Alumni, friends and fans are encouraged to register for bowl packages by visiting http://wvusportstravel.com or by calling 1-888-373-5067.

The times and location for WVU’s popular Mountaineer Connection fan experience and other WVU bowl-related activities will be announced later this week.

WVU officially accepted an invitation to the Champs Sports Bowl on Sunday, Dec. 5. The game will be televised on ESPN. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m.
